Uberlandia Airport shall be developed until 2018

An agreement was signed on Monday (28), which includes measures to develop the Airport Tenente Coronel Aviador Cesar Bombonato as the expropriation of an area near the airport for the structure to be enlarged, increased landing and takeoff and expansion of the courtyard of the aircraft.

The agreement signed between the Municipality of Uberlândia and Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Company (Infraero), spends approximately R$ 140 million for the development project of the airport.

The Uberlândia is responsible for expropriating the area annexed to the airport, which should cost about R$ 2.5 million to the City.

According to information from City Hall, the development of the airport structure will be immediate.

The city’s strategic airlift and already have priority for Infraero. The city’s airport is the only autarchy in the shaft Ribeiro Preto, Campinas, São Paulo, Brasília and Goiânia. This is one of the reasons that make the city be ahead for deploying the cargo terminal, which shall further increase the profitability of the airport.
